Working with Shepherd
This submission was sent to Shepherd for an upcoming renewal. We responded within 1 hour with our appetite for the excess placement and worked quickly with the broker to obtain all necessary underlying details. We provided our formal quote within 8 hours of receiving that information and our final revised quote within 5 hours of receiving insured feedback.
Why We Won
A previous successful collaboration with the broker team paved the way for this opportunity. We offered the broker choices for two distinct layers within the excess program, granting the insured flexibility. Our final quote demonstrated our team's commitment to working closely with both the broker and insured to fully comprehend their coverage and pricing requirements.
We reached out to Shepherd to participate in a program for a street and road contractor and were thoroughly impressed by their team's expertise and qualifications. Their responsiveness and service made working with them an absolute pleasure, as they operated with incredible efficiency and prioritized the insured's interest by understanding their needs and risk profile. I was really impressed with the Shepherd Underwriting and Senior Leadership team taking the time to meet with the client after writing the insured's business. This effort reassured the client they understood their risk and were committed to a long-term partnership.
