Working with Shepherd
We received the submission from this broker due after engaging with the client through our partnership with OpenSpace in the Casualty Pro program. The submission was for the contractor’s upcoming practice program renewal. We provided our initial indication within 7 hours of receiving the submission. We activated the Casualty Pro offering immediately to receive the client’s usage data from OpenSpace to include in the underwriting - which benefited their proposal terms. We provided our formal quote within 2 days of receiving the underlying terms.
Why We Won
Our partnership with OpenSpace identified us as a market that the client was interested in working with. Our underwriting team worked closely with the broker and provided flexibility around the terms that helped secure this placement in the tower. Although there were some challenging exposures, the insured’s strong adoption of OpenSpace made a significant impact on appetite and proposal.
