Working with Shepherd
This captive program was presented to us by our broker partner. With immediate interest in the opportunity, we set dedicated time with the broker team to learn about the program and needs. In order to best understand our appetite, they sent all the submissions our way. Despite the high volume, we provided next day indications on all of them and targeted the accounts where we could provide competitive lead options.
Why We Won
We are so excited about this win and the partnership we built with the broker team along the way! Our collaborative approach to these deals played a pivotal role in securing the placements, enabling us to be strategic in our underwriting process. By gaining a comprehensive understanding of the program structures as a whole, as well as each insured individually, we were able to quickly identify the accounts where we could offer high value through competitive pricing and terms and formalize quotes quickly and efficiently for the broker team.
I’ve worked with Chris Bolick and Shepherd on a myriad of different accounts and I’m happy to report it has been a pleasing and refreshing experience so far. Shepherd's ability to provide a tailored solution with quality terms and competitive pricing, all while turning around a quote at the snap of a finger, truly makes them a broker's best friend. Having an underwriting background myself, I understand how time consuming the vetting and referral process can be, which makes me appreciate their reactiveness that much more. On top of this, their tech offerings/deliverables have been attractive to our clients. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Shepherd.
