Given the jurisdiction and nature of the work, our team took immediate interest and within 24 hours, we communicated our appetite, targeting a layer excess of $100M. As the broker team began building the tower, we took the initiative to indicate lower in the tower to provide further options for the client as needed. Upon request, we readily agreed to participate in a quota share and were able to meet the target pricing - providing our final quote within just 5 hours of receiving the layer details.

Chris has close to a decade of experience underwriting casualty in both the USA and Asia markets. He started his career with Chubb’s Global Casualty group in Los Angeles before doing stints in both Thailand and Hong Kong in Chubb’s APAC Major Accounts Casualty group. Before joining Shepherd he was most recently the Deputy Head of Major Accounts P&C for Chubb Hong Kong.
